Katie’s Comforters Guild at Seattle Children’s Hospital was founded in memory of Katie Gerstenberger, who passed away from cancer in 2007 at the age of 12 and a half. Katie took great comfort all through her many months of treatment from the simple quilt that her mother made for her, and that is our inspiration. The guild’s goal is to have a handmade blanket waiting for each child who arrives at Seattle Children’s Hospital, to bring immediate comfort and warmth into the hospital experience. We sew, knit, crochet and make fleece blankets, and would love to have you join us!
The Seattle Humane Society brings people and pets together forlifelong relationships. Founded in 1987, this private, nonprofitanimal welfare organization is located in King County with a variety of programs. Through adoptions, dog training classes, andpet food banks, they strive to ensure animal companionship is accessible to all.
Youth Eastside Services is a leading provider of youth substance abuse and mental health counseling services in the region. Since 1968, YES has been a lifeline for kids and families, offering treatment, education and prevention services to help youth become healthy, confident and self-reliant and familes to become strong, supportive and loving.

Q. Why do you need my old battery?
A. We require your old battery so that we are able to have the basic parts needed to build the replacements. You can keep your old battery by paying an additional $700.00 core charge.
Q. What are the symptoms of a hybrid battery failing?
A. The Prius will normally set the triangle warning on the dash and you will notice the engine revving as well as the battery cooling fan operating at high speed constantly. The Honda hybrids normally set the IMA warning light and the battery charge indicator will fluctuate between fully charged and discharged rapidly.
Q. What is the warranty on your remanufactured batteries?
A. Our warranty covers the repair or replacement for a period of 12 months with unlimited miles.
Q. Are these batteries as good as a new battery?
A. Our batteries are in a lot of ways better than the factory replacement batteries. We replace the less durable parts in the battery packs with our own improved and upgraded parts and upgrade all cells to the more durable Gen2 design cells. These cells have been reconditioned through our proprietary processes and must pass durability testing before being placed in one of our battery packs.
